QUESTION: Can we come and visit the road and actually walk or drive on it?
ANSWER: Yes. The original "Route 66" is still in good condition. It extends North for approximately one half mile from the new road. For obvious reasons, we do not want large trucks. Visit the original "America's Mother Road" and for a few moments become a part of true American history.
QUESTION: Will we actually be a legal owner?
ANSWER: Yes! You will receive a legal Warranty Deed as a tenant-in-common.You will own a one square foot undivided interest in the full roadway.
QUESTION: If I so desired, could I sell my deed?
ANSWER: Yes. Once conveyed to you, you are the legal owner, and may use it for any legal purpose. That would include selling it.
QUESTION: Will I have to pay property taxes?
ANSWER: No. Taxes on a one square foot undivided interest would be so small as to not be reasonably feasible to calculate. Taxes will not be accessed to individual deed holders.
QUESTION: Will I be responsible for maintenance.
ANSWER: No. Property maintenance is very minimal. The property looks almost the same today as it did 50 years ago. It is our intent to retain the original nostalgia of the property. Deed holders will not be accessed for maintenance.
QUESTION: Could I purchase several deeds as gifts?
ANSWER: Yes. If you will provide us the information for the recipients, we will be glad to deed them in their names and mail to you for presentation
QUESTION: Would there be a discount if we purchased a large number of parcels.
ANSWER: This represents a legal real estate transaction, and is governed by Oklahoma real estate law. We could not pay a real estate commission for the sale of these parcels except to a duly licensed real estate practioner. However, we would be glad to examine any lawful proposal on a case by case basis.
